What a difference!

There have been a lot of changes over the twenty or so years that the Reserve has been maintained by the volunteers.

Lots of invasive plants have been cleared, native trees planted and naturally dispersed plants encouraged.

Nothing highlights the changes more clearly than these photographs from our archive.

The first shows a young volunteer on Worvas Hill scattering wild seeds gathered from a similar local habitat on Rosewall Hill. The ground has previously heen cleared of invasive species.

The second photograph was taken the following Spring.

If you ever doubt that nature can recover or that there's not much we can do to help just remember these before and after images!
