What is a temperate rainforest?
We'll leave it to the experts at the Woodland Trust to explain the details, but we are proud to have fragments of this very rare habitat within the nature reserve.
The Plantlife charity has an excellent activity pack that anyone can download and use to explore the nature reserve.
Where are they?
This map shows some of the temperate rainforests in England. They have been submitted by members of the public (thanks to Joe Marshall for submitting the Steeple Woodland!). Full details are available on the Lost rainforests of england website.
