Nature finds a way

Volunteer Rupert spotted this unlucky oak sapling growing through a broken plastic bottle.

As you can see, the growth of the young tree was seriously constricted.

Rupert carefully removed the bottle from the sapling.

It is quite amazing that the sapling has managed to get this far. We can only hope that it continues to grow now that it has been freed from its bottle cage.
